The concept is good, as are the questions. But the "answer" and "next question" buttons are unresponsive. Once theyve finally registered a tap, after several attempts, the app is very slow to respond. Since scores are based on how quickly you answer, its frustrating to have to poke at your choice over and over without a response, as the time ticks down. Also, there really should be a proper iPad version of this app!

This is a decent game. The multi-player function is great. The questions however are top heavy in american politics. Typical of americans to assume they are the only ones out there. Also, why are there questions about literary fiction? This is supposed to be history. Oh, wait, this is the same station that brings us such great historical shows as "swamp people", "mountain men", "big rig bounty hunters", "god, guns & automobiles"... They should rename the station "toothless american trailer trash".

There are many questions that are frivolous but most are informative. As a result of the UHQ I was compelled to memorize all 44 presidents in order, and their accomplishments. I am now able to share this information with my son and grandson. I majored in Political Science and World History in college and the UHQ has filled in many blanks in my education. I am on your "leader board" and have played over 18,000 games. Good way to pass time and also gain knowledge. Many "factoids" are useless information.

Good news, bad news. The good news is the field is wide open for a clever collection of graduate students to whip up a fun, irresistible history quiz app that is delightful to play as it educates. The bad news is this app isnt any of those things. A limited basic bunch of middle school history questions that exhaust themselves quickly and begin very soon to recycle. Dull history, duller game. Dreaming of someone seeing the possibilities and creating a game that soars. This limp thing cant even crawl out of its shell.

Just what I want in a trivia game - great questions, fast pace, and best of all - fun! Challenging and educational, enough to keep me entertained for hours. Great game! Five stars if you make topic-specific versions instead of just a single general history focus. Keep em coming!

This is a great addition to the civil war app ... Puts you in the mood to learn things you never even thought about. Touché!

Principally aimed at people with little or no knowledge of history, it was a real disappointment, especially with the pop culture questions thrown in!

This app doesnt want to work sometimes. And sometimes when you pick an answer it says its wrong and gives the correct answer that wasnt even one of the choices.

I LOVE history trivia & this game is awesome. That being said, Im really disappointed in the fact that I have to have a WiFi connection in order to play. I dont have WiFi at home & it seems a bit ridiculous to go to a hot spot just to play a game. I have other trivia games that allow me to play without WiFi, so for $2, this one should too.

Its really basic for an app that costs money. I would expect a lack of features from a lite or free app but this just isnt worth it.

This game is not the "ultimate". It repeats questions all the time so it is not difficult to get all ten answers. It is not varied enough and concentrates a lot on the US presidents and the Civil War. It is not worth the small fee.

I have re-read all there is to read about this app and no where does it suggest I cant play the quizzes as a single player without the internet. Obviously multiplayer would require it. Im sick of apple not providing enough info BEFORE they take your money. There is nothing in the Requirements section and the screen shots dont show a Wi-fi or 3G icon. I call that lying by omission.

Was fun for about 5 minutes. Has to have wifi to work, even for single player, questions repeat often, constantly freezes even with a wifi connection. Not worth the $2, save your money.

Everyone is saying this app needs wifi to work, but that is not the case. I play both single and multiplayer on 3G often. The questions arent quite as repetitive as everyone is making them out to be, but there are times when questions come up more than once. HOWEVER, that is not within the same game. I personally love this app, but there has been an issue with it since I last updated. While playing in multiplayer, the "View Stats" button has somehow moved behind my answer, and I therefore cannot click on it to see how the other players are responding to the questions. That is VERY annoying! I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but to no avail. I wonder if Im the only one with this problem. Either way, its still a great app.

Its ok to pass some time, but there are some errors in the questions and answers. Its irritating seeing a history app post incorrect information, especially after I spent the last few years getting my undergrad in history. The game still freezes a little, but not as much. Questions arent as incorrect as in cash cab, but its what can be expected from the history channel. I thought better, but I guess my professors were right.

Good quiz questions, but sometimes stalls and kicks out of a multiplayer game. Does not use the Game Center. Looking forward to improvements.

Not that great. A lot of the questions are easy, and a lot of them are not history questions, theyre really geography, or pop culture questions.
